In telling the story of the home you will catch a glimpse of the lives of those who have called Tipapa home.
Tipapa Homestead was built in 1928 and is acknowledged as one of the best designs of noted NZ architect Heathcote Helmore. The architect was inspired by the elegant summer homes of the Hamptons on the American east coast, where he spent time on his way to the UK. A very modern home at the time it was built, Tipapa still reflects clean lines and simple elegance. The homestead is surrounded by sweeping lawns and beautiful gardens
Included in admission is a self-guided tour of the gardens and 1880s woolshed where you can also enjoy a complimentary cup of tea or coffee, or perhaps indulge in a glass of wine or a cheese platter at additional cost.
The tours are $150 min, and are for a maximum of 15 people. There is an additional cost ($10 pp) if your party is bigger than 15.
